Between God and the Penultimate

This exhibition is to highlight the ideas that conceptual work has a limited lifespan to that of work which focuses on the human condition. By making abstract paintings on paper, then folding them, bending them or rolling them and attaching them to the walls with blue tack I can make different variations of this work. But my variations only go so far before they start resembling other works in the show. These works have there own limited momentum. Where in the other room, the work looks at ideas of a Christian God. This subject matter could be looked into in an infinite no of ways, the human condition is an ever changing subject matter and will never run out of changing ideals or ideas.

My Post-Modern work, the abstract sculpture paintings I mention above. They are only there to illustrate my point that in time Post-Modern ideas will run out of steam. Artists will have to start looking at there own, and the lives of others around them, past, present and future to generate new ideas.
